Last night, Autumn had added Selena's uncle to her contact list, but the request was still pending. She figured he was probably too busy to notice, so she hadn't thought much of it. Then came her follow-up appointment, her grandmother falling ill – the matter had completely slipped her mind.
Now, seeing Jasmine again brought everything rushing back. She should probably mention it to Selena and arrange a face-to-face meeting.
Jasmine scoffed and continued applying her lipstick, clearly not taking Autumn's words seriously. Autumn couldn't be bothered with her either. Jasmine's arrogance was suffocating – she carried herself with such condescension it was impossible not to bristle.
